How To Market To The LGBTQ Community Successfully

 

As a business owner, it's important to be aware of the different communities you can market to. The LGBTQ community is a large and powerful group, and if you're not marketing to them, you're missing out! In this episode of Cash In On Camera, Scott Gatz Founder of Q.Digital joins the show to share some tips on how to market to the LGBTQ community successfully. 

 

 

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll hear… 

▶️ [0:51] if you think about over $3 trillion globally, more and more folks are feeling comfortable finding the words to come out as LGBTQ and with that their financial impact is immense and we've been to QDigital. 
▶️ [2:59] Ultimately if you think about it, you're trying to have a conversation and authentic conversation with a community that cares about your products or your offerings or your services. And I think approaching, honestly, this is in any marketing, but certainly, an LGBTQ speaking authentically reaching out, having a conversation, understanding their needs, and then talking in a direct way. 
▶️ [3:56] And there's a term that people call it, they call it either pinkwashing or rainbow washing, you'll come out with a t-shirt with a rainbow on it, but are you really talking to us, are you really expressing values? Are you really connecting with the community? And honestly, don't do it, to be truthful to yourself as well if you're not on board. 
▶️ [6:15] I think it's really important to know that about 75% of the LGBTQ community has said that they are willing to switch brands to a brand that is loyal to our community that spends money on LGBTQ advertising that stands up for the issues in the community.
▶️ [9:09] Yeah, it's been 14 years and we continue to grow. We're very proud to be the number one LGBTQ online network in the United States. You can reach more people through us than anyone else. And we're super proud of that. 
▶️ [11:06] All of it finds an audience and then that audience finds you. As I said earlier, we've been spending a lot of effort on creating fun, exciting videos for the LGBTQ community and it works. It brings in folks, people enjoy it and ultimately we get to know your brand.
