Why 'Winging It' is Sometimes the Best Strategy

In this episode of Cash In On Camera, Leadership Specialist and best-selling author Chris Cebollero and I are purposefully not overplanning our conversation to demonstrate how 'winging it' can be a viable strategy.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll hear…

▶️ [0:51] Sometimes you need to have an impromptu presentation. You need to have an impromptu show, just ready to go. I mean, there are going to be times when you have a guest that may not know what direction and just having that candid conversation, which a lot of people are uncomfortable about.
▶️ [2:11] And from your background in news, I'm sure you've used the teleprompter and you've read the content. But you can tell you're reading sometimes, right? So when you're in that process, unless you have that experience of reading off a teleprompter and knowing where you're gonna inject voice inflection and knowing where you're gonna interject the difference in questioning techniques, all you're doing is reading.
▶️ [4:36] One of the things that I always tell my guests is I just don't want them to hear the message. I want them to feel it too.
▶️ [8:05] But we can't do that if we're not taking care of ourselves by learning more about the business and the practice and the culture of the business. It's the business of doing business, but it comes from your professional development and continuing to learn.
▶️ [10:13] But anyway, my point is when you are time blocking, put in 30 minutes to read an article, go to Forbes, go to Inc., go to Entrepreneur, go to the Harvard business review and just pick a topic and read one article a day. And then from that article, ask yourself a couple of questions. What did this mean to me? Where did the skills in this article rate in my skill set, what do I need to do to build this skill? How do I use this information to make myself better, to allow myself to lead the people who I invited into my organization to help me be successful?
▶️ [16:13] Yeah. And one of the things to think about too is we've used the term the great resignation, which is what they're calling this period right now. There are a lot of companies that are foregoing their educational standards because they can't get people in.
▶️ [21:59] So with all those, with all that skill and knowledge and experience that we've gained over that time, you are given it to 'em from day one, that they don't have to make the hurdles and the speed bumps and the things that we had to do. That's what makes you a master at what you're doing for your audience.
