Scaling Your Business Using Group Programs

You don’t need another certification course or to read another book. Jessica Terzakis joins Cash In On Camera to share how you can launch a group program with the knowledge you already have.

Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll hear…

▶️ [1:29] So I really think that the better conversation around that is when to use that in your business. And the truth is online courses, that type of passive income, where someone just signs up for your course and you as the creator are basically not involved at all. That's a very advanced and sophisticated tool to use in a business.
▶️ [3:19] I have also launched courses. The more profitable way is group programs. Hundred percent. Going into that, the online course world, it's a tough grind because typically your online course price point is lower. And then you're banking on the fact that you're going to be able to get more people to buy it. That it's a quantity kind of game. But if you don't have the fundamentals in place first, and you mentioned them,  your audience, your email list, and all of those things. And I would even go so far as to say your message.
▶️ [5:06] That's going to tell you everything you need to know in terms of what your ideal client is wanting from you and how to speak to them in terms of your messaging. And I think coming up with a tighter message, it's just time. It really it's time. It's putting that experience in. And if you're newer in business and you're listening to this, it's not to discourage you is to say the more you're willing to stick with it, the better you're going to be on the other side, because everyone I talked to Sheryl says, "Jessica, I want to stand out."
▶️ [7:05] It's my favorite because it really taps into my experience as a high school teacher. And so what I say to people is okay, If you've had experience working one-to-one with clients, even though all those one-on-one clients are a little bit different, chances are there's a common denominator in terms of a process that you've led them through.
▶️ [9:39] Yeah. I love this question because I have encouraged my clients to do one of two things. When you are launching a new offer for the first time, even though you've done it with your one-to-one clients, I realized that most people have a little anxiety about how to price it and how to position that. Cause the biggest thing I hear from people is, "I've never done this. How can I ask people to pay me for this?" And so if you are leaning in that camp of charging, like a hundred bucks for people to do your group, don't do that. But I think there's a really great place for you to start.
▶️ [11:14] What I love about that is the first time you run the group program, you've made $5,000 to refine your group program. You're getting paid to create your first launch. Right? So it's a win-win. I have sold group programs anywhere from $500 to as high as $1997. And brought in anywhere from five to 10 people in those programs and it's worked really great.
▶️ [13:30] And I want them to do this and this. And they have all these outcomes that they want to get people to. And usually, I say, "Well, that's why you're feeling so much pressure. You're trying to solve every single thing for this group. And it's just not possible." It's not possible for them from a learning perspective. And it's also not good for your business to try and do everything in one group. Right. Limits your offerings.
▶️[15:08] I really liked the idea of giving some very concrete parameters around pricing and around really what where you should start thinking about adding a group program to your suite of products and services. And I think that we've done that today.
▶️ [17:43] I could sit down and say like, "All right, I want these to go out at a certain time for my personal email." I can batch create them and they send out automatically. So I'm not doing everything at all different times. The other thing that I've really leveraged, I think this is important when in the context of scaling is using email marketing, but using it smarter. I feel like a lot of times people forget that their email list is a super valuable asset.
